October is nearly over...

How did this happen? The end of the 1st trimester is quickly approaching, so all assignments should be handed in by Wednesday, November 4th. The last few assignments are: Book Reports (the materials for this is in my room), Punctuation Packets (if not finished, find a classmate and borrow theirs to get information), and the Elements of Literature Packet (we did this together in class and is probably in a backpack somewhere if the score is not recorded on Power School).

We have been having a good time this week with a creative writing assignment associated with "monsters"! Be sure to ask your student about these and have them share their fun ideas with you!!

The students are doing very well! Keep up the great work!!

Parent Conferences

Hello Parents and Students,

Hope you all received the news that Parent conferences are this week! I was able to meet with many of you last night and hope to see the rest of you tonight. Teachers will be available from 4:30 to 7:30 tonight in the commons area.

Your kids are doing well! We have just completed learning the Parts of Speech and took a quiz on them last Monday. Some students have already taken advantage of Real Time to re take this quiz and receive a better score!

Don't forget that the first book report will be due on the 23rd of October!! There are several students who have already handed them in! Woo Hoo!
